Masterstroke 2016 was recently organized by Navneet Education Limited. Navneet is a pioneer in the Indian stationery industry. This annual event recognizes the valuable contributions made by students in Indian schools. It also aims to build a smarter ‘Young India’ by empowering its future citizens. At its heart, Navneet has developed the Masterstroke program to acknowledge the efforts of the Indian public schooling system.
Masterstroke 2016 is the 15th edition of a series that was conceptualized in the year 2001. Growing year on year, it is now one of the largest drawing competitions in the country. In 2015, the competition had brought together 15 Lakh participants from more than 25 states and 7000 schools.
Masterstroke 2016 – An Overview
Masterstroke is an exciting platform for school students across India to showcase their passion for art. By participating in the “most colorful national-level drawing competition”, students get to test their artistic acumen pitched against the best-in-breed from across the country. The contest usually attracts participation from both public and private schools. It is open to a wide range of age-groups, from prep school to tenth grade. Masterstroke 2016 had 743 winners in district-level categories. These district winners will now compete at a national level, and the finale will be conducted in December 2016.
In Maharashtra, students from cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nasik, Aurangabad, Satara and Sangli among others, will represent their respective schools in the forthcoming state level rounds. In addition to the competition, Navneet had organized an exhibition of paintings submitted by aspiring student artists.

A few months back, Navneet Education Ltd had announced the launch of its new stationery brand for paper and non-paper stationery vertical, called Youva. Under the paper stationery category, Youva will include longbooks, note books, drawing books, practical books, casebound books, scrap/project books, craft papers and paper rolls. While the non-paper segment will comprise of pencils, erasers, sharpeners, geometry boxes, rulers, crayons, oil pastels, plastic crayons, synthetic & white glue. Youva branded products under both the categories will be available across India at all leading book and stationery stores.
